Geranium maculatum

Wild Geranium is a native woodland perennial that naturalizes effortlessly under trees and in shaded borders, its deeply palmate basal leaves are dark green and refined, its pale pink to lilac flowers are produced in generous flushes in spring, and it adapts to conditions from dappled shade to surprisingly dry sites.

Growing & Maintenance Tips

Grows best in an average to moist, well-drained soil, in partial to full shade, however, will tolerate full sun with adequate moisture. Pruning hard after flowering will help maintain its shape, but will not extend bloom time. Spreads non-aggressively by rhizomes.
