Ceratostigmatolerates a wide range of conditions, except for wet, poorly-drained soils. Its foliage is one of the latest to emerge in the spring, so don't give up on it. It is a good companion when planted in combination with or throughout early spring bulbs. It is advisable to plant early, before winter, so the plants can become established.

Notes

Also referred to as Blue Leadwort, Hardy Plumbago, Perennial Plumbago, Plumbago. Ceratostigmamay not officially be listed on invasive species lists for Ontario, but it certainly is locally aggressive.
