Cupid cherry grows best in average to evenly moist conditions, in full sun. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will thrive in city environments. This is a self-pollinating cultivar, so it does not require a second plant nearby to set fruit, but yields may increase with the presence of another cultivar.

Notes

Cupid was released as part of the Romance series in 2004. It has the largest and latest production of the Romance series, extending the harvest season. The botanical name for Cupid Cherry has been updated from Cherry-shrub x 'Cupid' to Prunus x kerrasis 'Cupid'.
