Iris versicolorgrows best in moist to wet, soil conditions, in full sun or partial shade. Great for ponds, streams, and marshy areas. Vigorous, naturalizing iris once established, spreading by self-seeding or extension of its rhizomes. Although it thrives with its roots submerged,Iris versicolorwill adapt to average or slightly dry conditions.
