Sisyrinchium is best grown in a moist but not wet soil, in full sun to partial shade. They will self-seed in optimum conditions, so it is best to remove the flowers before they seed. Plants should be divided every few years to maintain health.

Native to Ontario Though it is called a grass, and looks like a grass, Sisyrinchiumis not a grass, but is in the iris family.
