Autumn Treasure® Ironwood

An ornamental ironwood with pendulous hop-like fruit clusters and good fall colour, suited to naturalized plantings.

• Upright, pyramidal to oval habit
• Reddish-brown male flowers and greenish female flowers precede the leaves
• Dark green birch-like leaves increase in size toward the end of a twig
• Fall foliage is pale yellow, with an early complete leaf drop
• Hop-like seeds sometimes persist through the winter
• Commonly used for specimen, screening (privacy)
• Grows best in full sun to partial shade
