  • Very similar to Dicentra canadensis

Dicentra canadensisgrows best in a moist, fertile, humus-rich, neutral to slightly alkaline soil, in partial to full shade. These plants normally go dormant early to midsummer.
Notes
Native to Ontario Flowers look similar to aman'sclose-fittingbreeches, worn upside down, leading to the common name. All parts of the plants are toxic to human beings, cats, and cattle. Don't eat it; enjoy it.
